Hotel Review
Firsthand experiences by senior EB staff members

Lebua, Lucknow

Recently, our Director Mr. Manish Pratik was in Lucknow and stayed at the Lebua. He shared his firsthand experience of this hotel with us:-

I was in Lucknow last week where I stayed at recently opened Lebua which is a heritage property in the heart of the city. With its old world charm supported by efficient service levels it could be a very good product for inbound market. Property is fresh with good eating outlets. It is reasonably priced and a very good value for money option for our clients. Both from pricing and product perspective it scores over the Taj. Base category rooms are relatively smaller, you should go for luxury rooms which is one category higher

Our Lucknow Ground handling agent was efficient and spot on. My stay was short but well looked after by the local office.

FYI - Taj Lucknow is undergoing a massive renovation, all day dining area, ground floors will be shut until October 2017 or further update for the refurbishment work.  So in light of this ongoing renovation, it doesn’t make sense to make our guests stay at the Taj in Lucknow and we should use the Lebua, which is ready and doing good business.

Ayana, Fort Cochin

Dipta Roy, Senior Manager Delhi and Santhosh our Cochin Branch Manager, inspected new boutique hotel in Fort Cochin and found it suitable for guests.

As reported by the duo, Ayana can be compared with Eighth Bastion in terms of the Room size / decor and facilities / price range, it is almost equal to Eighth Bastion. With regards to the service part they have experienced staff and assured best service as they have alliance with the well known Mantis Group and have to keep up to the reputation of the group. The property has 16 rooms with all modern amenities and facilities. Two restaurants - “Melting Pot” on the ground floor overlooking garden serves best local cuisine and “The Terrace” serves mainly for dinner. The “Lounge” at the lobby level (1st floor) serves craft tea and specialty coffee.

Wayanad Wild, North Kerala

Wayanad Wild is the latest CGH offering in the North Kerala. It is located in Lakkidi, Wayanad, in the middle of nowhere surrounded by dense forest.

Our Senior Manager, Dipta, got a chance to have the first look of this property; it is still under work and should be opened fully by end 2017, and stayed for couple of nights. They have opened few rooms and taking reservations with a clause that the property is not fully complete. Wayanad Wild has been designed to be family-friendly. Activities here include treks into the woods, hiking to neighbouring forest zone, cycling, and an informative tour of the neighbouring tea factory.

From the initial look of the property, it promises to be an ideal property for our clients looking for all comforts midst of the wild and traveling to Wayanad. It may not be a typical CGH style hotel, it is very modern and contemporary, but surely the best accommodation in Wayanad, where quality stay options are anyway limited. We can start using this hotel in the coming season without any question.
