The largest theatrical producer in the world, Cirque du Soleil, is all set to debut in India this year in November. The performance will take place as part of the state government’s ‘Visit Maharashtra’ tourism initiative.
Cirque du Soleil touring India is indeed a ‘big deal’. The four-decade-old theatre company works with more than 1,300 artists from 55 countries, ranging from disciplines such as acrobatic gymnastics to circus arts. Their iconic acts include KÀ, Corteo and Mystère, some of which are permanent shows in Las Vegas. The shows feature original music written by a composer; musicians and singers perform this score live. The group is known for its grand sets that transport you to a world of fantasy.
